New from Veltrayo

AI Receptionist

Your phone rings out. Your customer still hears from you, in seconds.

You’re up a ladder, under a house or driving between jobs. When a call goes unanswered, your AI Receptionist greets the caller, texts them back from your business and sends you everything you need to win the job.

The two texts are real, from our live test on 21 October 2026. The caller’s number is hidden.

The problem

Your numbers

How many calls are you missing in a year?

Move the sliders to match your business. It’s an estimate, worked out only from the numbers you choose.

229missed calls a year

159from first-time callers

$20,592in jobs those calls could have been worth

First-time callers use the 69.3% share from the report above. A year is counted as 52 weeks. This is an illustration, not a promise of results.

How it works

From missed call to booked job.

  1. 0:00

    Your phone rings

You’re on the tools. You let it ring.

  2. ≈ 0:15

    It forwards, not to voicemail

Unanswered calls divert to your AI Receptionist. You choose how long it rings first.

  3. Next

    Your caller is greeted

A short greeting in a natural Australian voice, using your business name. They can leave a message.

  4. Seconds later

They get a text from you

A friendly text from your business: you’re on a job and you’ll get back to them. They can reply straight away.

  5. Same moment

    You get the details

Who called, whether they were texted, and a tap-to-call link. Voicemails arrive as text, so you can read them between jobs.

  6. When you’re free

    You win the job

Their replies come straight to your phone. Answer by text or call them back while the job is still warm.

Built to be careful

It knows who to text, and who not to.

  • Mobiles only

Landlines can’t receive texts and private numbers can’t be texted, so those callers hear the greeting and you get an alert instead.

  • Never your own people

Your own numbers, your team and anyone on your never-text list are skipped automatically.

  • No double texts

Someone who calls three times in an afternoon gets one text, not three.

  • Opt-out built in

Every text names your business and says “Reply STOP to opt out”. Opt-outs are honoured automatically.

  • Your words

We write the greeting and the text with you, and you can change them any time.

  • Tested before it’s live

We set it up with you, run real test calls and only switch it on once you’ve seen it work.

The difference

Same missed call. Two very different endings.

Without

  • The call rings out
  • Many callers hang up without leaving a message
  • They may try the next business on the list
  • You find a missed call hours later

With your AI Receptionist

  • The caller hears your business name
  • They get a text from you within seconds
  • You know who called and what they need
  • You call back while the job is still warm

Questions

Straight answers.

Does it talk to my customers like a person?

No, and we won’t pretend it does. It greets the caller with a short message in an Australian voice, takes a voicemail and texts them back straight away. The AI turns voicemails into text for you. You or your team still do the talking, just sooner and with all the details.

Do I need a new phone number?

No. Your customers keep calling the number they already have. We set up a dedicated number for your AI Receptionist, and only your unanswered calls are forwarded to it.

Will it work with my phone?

It uses conditional call forwarding, which most Australian mobile plans support. We set it up with you on your phone and test it together before anything goes live. Some plans charge for forwarded calls, and some prepaid plans can’t forward, so we check yours first.

What happens to my voicemail?

For unanswered calls, your AI Receptionist takes the message instead of your carrier’s voicemail, and sends it to you as text with a link to listen.

What if the caller is on a landline or a private number?

They still hear the greeting and can leave a voicemail, and you get an alert. We just can’t text them: landlines can’t receive texts and private numbers are hidden.

Is it legal to text people who called me?

Every text names your business and includes “Reply STOP to opt out”, and opt-outs are honoured automatically, in line with the Spam Act. It only texts the person who just called you.

Am I locked in?

No. The monthly fee runs month to month: tell us in writing before your next billing date to cancel. The setup fee covers the work to get you live.

Stop losing jobs to voicemail.

Tell us about your business and how many calls you get. We’ll show you how it would work for you.
