The first screen on a phone
Someone with a leaking hot water system isn’t reading paragraphs. Before they scroll, they should see:
- What you do and the suburbs you cover, in one line
- A call button that dials straight away, plus a short quote form for people who can’t talk
- Your licence number if your trade is licensed in WA, and your insurance if you have it
- One or two photos of your own work
A quote form that saves you a site visit
A good form asks the questions you’d ask on the phone, by job type, so you can price or book without a call back. For example:
- Plumbing: what’s wrong, how urgent, and a photo of the problem
- Electrical: the job (lights, power points, switchboard), the number of items and the property type
- Building and renovation: the scope, a budget range, timing, and whether plans exist
Every form submission and every tap on your call button is tracked, with the visitor’s consent, so you can see which ads and pages bring in work.
Service areas without thin pages
Pages that repeat the same text with a different suburb name help nobody. We list the suburbs you actually work in, explain any call-out fee, and only write a separate page where there is something different to say about that area.
Catch the calls the website brings in
A website that works brings in more calls, and you can’t answer them all from under a sink. In AIIMS Group’s analysis of 207,000+ inbound calls to 858 of its client businesses across nine industries, 9.2% went unanswered.
Missed-call text-back sends those callers a text from your business within seconds, so they can tell you what they need.
